What's sad is i'm looking forward to her US Open Press Conference more than i am her matches?
gee...playing in the olympics ....miraculous mental recovery when some people take decades or never recover....lets be honest folks...shes a childish brat and sees huge $$$$$$ playing in Japan....and talk about a phony---bringing media attention on herself with her support of BLM and brian taylor and now blaming the media for her mental woes....grow up naomi and be responsible and play the majors---its these majors that gave you your 100 mil+...

She ain't going to be missed really. It'll give someone else the opportunity to step in. Wish her better health though
She made $50 million in the last few years. Guess she wants to retire on top and rich, which is her choice. But a champion she is not.
Actually she made 66 million dollars in just the last 12 months... and she's just 23 dude , her retirement is only for the moment ; she will try olympic games this year. And yes , she's a champion already.
Naomi is weak and has no mental toughness at all. I feel sorry she doesn’t have the mental intestinal fortitude to play the game consistently.
Nadal withdraws from two massive tournaments: Aww, poor Nadal hope he gets better. Osaka withdraws from one tournament in order to be fully prepared for another in her home country: What a snowflake that only wants the good parts of tennis. This comment section proves tennis has a serious issue with POC and women tbh
@Elias KOUAKOUOP mentioned Osaka being targeted because shes a POC. That's bringing race into the equation for no reason.
Nadal is 35+ years old dumbass
@Parth Jagtap what racial card are you talking about? You better stop skipping people comment.
Nadal and Fed are at the twilight of their careers and they have given their all the last 20 years. I don't think it's a fair comparison and let's not bring the women card here please
What a great cry baby this player, this just got ridiculous.
Pulls out of the French Ooen , because she claims to be suffering from depression and now withdraws from Wimbledon to concentrate on the Tokyo Olympics and all the pressures it brings for Athletes of a host city in your own country. If she suffers from depression and anxiety that bad the thought of competing in the Olympics will be far greater than a paris press conference or a match at SW19 Court 12 . THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HER IT'S JUST ATTENTION SEEKING
Exactly. If she is so keen on her mental health, she would not play at the Tokyo Olympics with the weight of the whole Japanese culture is on her shoulder. It is the worst place you want to put yourself at if you are suffering from mental health issues. But I am sure the press will say that she triumphed and conquered the gold. Then she will love the press conferences forever.
Ok mr proffesional psychiatrist or therapist..or say a freaking attention seeking keyboard warrior
I wish I could only do the good bits of my job…
@Harry Whiting Train for hours on hours a day, risk your weekly wage and then you can speak on the matter 👍
She’s not an employee of a tournament, she can enter and exit when she wants
It’s pathetic, but no one can say that anymore. Mental health is now an excuse to not do things that are uncomfortable or un-desirable.
Good bits? She’s missing out on competing at the biggest tennis tournament in the world and isn’t getting paid during this time.
Wimbledon and the French Open will forever be on Osaka’s black list. Wimbledon was the only Grand Slam organisation who retweeted the default threat to Osaka . The US and Australian open signed it, but didn’t took it to twitter.
Good. The Brits, like the French, could care less if a pouty preachy Yank skips their tournament. Frankly, I hope she drops off the USA Olympic Team. One less whiner and complainer. If Osaka is as serious about her fragile emotional state as she claims she'll seek professional help for the mental malady during her self-imposed sabbaticals from the court.
Good, the sport doesn't need cry baby bitches like her. Grow up and get on with life like the rest of us have to
What a blow to her career Pray she gets well soon
She won't be missed.
@David Hopkins Rarely seen a post with a lower ratio of IQ/word.
@David Hopkins yup!
You're right. She won't be missed. Strange that she's dropping out of all these prestigious Grand Slam tournaments but still playing in the Olympics. There's reason for that. Osaka can use the Olympics as a forum to whine about social justice and cast aspersions on the USA at HER convenience, the way she likes to operate. Making stump speeches on social justice at the Olympics conveniently absolves her from the obligatory interviews at Grand Slam events where the press can challenge her Woke Liberal opinions. Osaka isn't as crazy as she wants us to believe.
@Henry Kaspar you won't be missed either
naomi made a mistake and seems to be following it up with more mistakes. by staying out of the scene until the tokyo olympics superspreader event, she is piling even more pressure on herself. of course, everyone makes mistakes, but when you are a public figure, a lot more people see your mistakes. but i'm sure this will ultimately be a learning experience for her.
Arigato kosaimas. That's the only thing I know.🤣🤣
All sorts of Covid in England. No surprise. Nadal withdrew aswell. Probably will be a few more.
@Roger Davies says a brit who elected borris the dumb 🤣
@It doesn’t matter What your name is It's got nothing to do with Covid. My humour is quite normal.....laughing at your stupidity.
@Roger Davies I don’t think it’s funny. Strange sense of humor there pal.
Hi Naoml,I have something for you 🤗.
@Rehan Are you Naomi ?
Hahaha she's a quiter doesn't get her way and she quits how very shocking ......
I always loved her. I hated her TV appearances, especially on Ellen, she was never comfortable on the show. She is one of those sports personalities with whom you can relate. More power to her for taking a stance. ❤️
And people think she throws the word "social anxiety" about as an excuse to dodge her media obligations. Some people just want to do their talking by playing, nothing more.
Victim card !! F off
Wish I could call off work for depression Nd anxiety
@Kaushal Suresh Check the street shitter with the attitude problem
@Nikolas of course that's what you meant lol, poeple can look through the 'quote by quote' excuses. Live in denial, troll ✌
@Kaushal Suresh did i say anywhere that athletes don't have problems? What a clown
@Nikolas athletes also experience problems that you don't, clueless about life lmao
@Akinlabi Omo-Oso yeah it's quite strange that not everyone can be an athlete...
Do your job everyone else has to
Nadal will be missed. Osaka...meh...
May as well retire then lol
Nope, she loves herself some US Open and AO hardcourt action.
Not a consistent winner anyway. No one in women's tennis is. It's very boring.
Koodos to you Naomi! Take time to take care of yourself. You deserve it.
Piers Morgan: TRIGGERED 🤛
Hahaha haha he's loves attention
From the beginning, it's all about the Tokyo Olympics. Not "mental health issues" or "press conference". Osaka REALLY wants the gold at the Tokyo Olympics which will bring her tons of sponsorships and acceptance as a "Japanese". She just wanted to focus on that. "Mental health issues" is a tactic.
@L L In response to the Tokyo business. I would personally feel comfortable facing media from my home country than a foreign country. So for me, I already believe her. Obviously she wants deal with her mental issues and a start would be to face media from your own country. At least they will not ask questions about the colour of her skin like the french media did to Coco Gauff.
@L L How do you prove an ankle injury? So must Osaka call and tell you for you to believe that she went to a psychologist?
@nicky leighton Finally someone shares the same view. Ever since Osaka "forces" Coco to do a join on-court interview with her after Coco was just defeated by her at the US Open, I felt that Osaka is a calculated person. And she is out to get people compare her favorably against Serena (for the saga at the previous US Open final). Especially, now Osaka says that her mental health issues started after that final just seems to me she is still doing these sort of "disguised attack" towards Serena. I think Osaka has a team that is good at manipulating public opinions for the building of an admirable image of Osaka. Of course, I might be wrong. If Osaka also pulls out of the Olympics, I am very likely Wrong.
@Xolamzi Mqhayi I am the one who said Osaka's mental health claim is a tactic, not Nickyleighton. Btw, it is easy for anyone to say something is bad for their mental health. It's a touchy subject yet hard to be proven. It's not like an ankle injury. Osaka so far has not shown that she has gone to the doctor. However, if Osaka also pulls out of the Olympics, I will believe her about the mental health issue.
@nicky leighton I will be overjoyed if she wins. I was referring to you saying mental health is a tactic. Clearly you dont know what mental health is. Educate yourself first
Yea it's a pity the media is so trash that no one wants to deal with them...
@Benji Radebe right
tbh im happy she took time off. if you cant talk to the media when you lose but you can when you win. take some time off..
People need to get a grip... players are free to choose which tournaments they play... they don’t even need to give you a reason. Federer has been skipping the clay season for years and Nadal is skipping this year’s Wimbledon and he had in the past skipped the early season to focus on RG... even Djokovic skipped the US tour this year. The amount of hate with some people...
it's not hate...it's just that many people can see thru the phoniness of osaka.....outspoken on BLM and briana taylor and drawing media attention and now blaming the media for her personal problems
@Elias KOUAKOU he skipped the sunshine double this year
Djokovic skipped what?
@Abhinav SK if Osaka wants to ruin her career this early then let her. It affects her not us so who cares.
I am not saying what she is doing is bad but it's definitely going to affect her career
Why does everybody hide the fact that sharapova from 2004 to 2014 was on PEDs faked to look like asthma drugs, it will never be released, tennis stars get away with this blatant cheating
I have about 10% of my portfolio in uranium dogecoin any advice on any other stock that I can grow my $300k capital to a million dollars?
@George Banning Thanks for his contact I will reach him right away

@George Banning Please how can I start trading with Mr shane? His success stories are everywhere 😯
Always playing the victim card and they continue to get away with it. Makes me sick.
@Scorpio D I don't disagree with any of that last comment. But the fact you still think steroids is cheating is kinda lame. What would steroids do for other athletes'. There's a reason some sports have more roids than others. Because some sports don't take skill or hand eye, they only take big ogres to tackle or beat People up. Baseball records did get ruined, but do you know how many corked bats existed in the old days? Well never prove how many other cheats existed in those records, only the guys who built up some muscle mass. As for Osaka, she's a crybaby and a typical 2 face. She has no problem doing hip-hop modeling, talking to zoomer hip hop based media with her rapper boyfriend, and she's like I said, making mental illness a weapon. I am sick of being treated like a leaper for having a so called mental illness, while I know for a fact, it was never real to begin with, but I won't to into my life story about how it all came to be. ( Absuive parents, catholic school forcing kids to take ritalin in the 90s, etc). She should retire and get help for her "debilitating" illness and stop using it as a gun or knife to hold the world hostage for her confused little soul. I feel like she's the poster child for biracial butterflies, I've dated and loved more than one, and all of them have the same pyschosis.
@Scorpio D You are a fool if you believe shes clean. She’s got a pass just like another drug cheat Mike Tyson who admitted that he had used fake penis to beat the drug tests.
@Pecker Dúnling San Patricio Space Dolphin Brigada ok, let's get something obvious out of the way. Cheating in professional sports in a way worse problem than some tennis player pulling out of a tournament because she has anxiety (kinda the point I was making at the beginning of this whole thread). That goes for whether you believe what problems the player is having mentally or not. It's Osaka's call to pull out of the tournaments, and if she can live with it, who cares. If she does it too much, then her sponsors will drop her and she will lose money. It's her life. I actually believe her career will eventually implode down the line, because she can't seem to handle negativity. But if she never plays tennis again, women's tennis will still be around, it's not that big of a deal in the big picture. Cheating just ruins everything. There's a reason why cheaters try to hide what they're doing.
@Scorpio D you have to be a good hitter. You have to be a pro .you're not a pro. If you knew you're gonna hit triples forever and then juice up and start hitting homers, big deal.
@Pecker Dúnling San Patricio Space Dolphin Brigada that's BS. I've played baseball. If I had even half the juiced up body of Bonds, I wouldn't have to hit the ball as square to have it go farther. So that not only translates into more home runs, but more doubles and triples too. As for Sharapova, she can hit more winners in a single match because her forehand will be that much stronger, not to mention her serve. It's blatant cheating, unless of course everyone does it. And that's not the case, nor should it be.
Health before sport Health before sport
What health? She is just afraid of getting beat by bad players. She can't play on grass and clay.
you clearly cared enough to comment :/
damn she fine though
@Coops that's how i like them :)
Nothing special without makeup :/
No she isn't dude.
Good. Here come all the blue haired freaks saying that media interviews are ”unfair” and that her mental health was being put at risk by being forced to talk to those mean journalists! Guess what, when you are being paid millions of dollars you have to communicate with those around you. Even people at McDonald’s have to deal with hard customers as part of their job. If it’s that hard for her she should hire a therapist.
Its great to have the privilege to not go to work and have enough money to si around and go on holiday. Out of touch celebrities telling us the are depressed. ..
@Rahul Dev bigotry is most definitely an exception to that because where I come from and live, extra judicial killings, inequality towards certain people in society, caste systems, sectarianism and attacking people just because of their beliefs is not an expression of free speech. I suggest you start with all of the human rights related issues in India before you talk of real free speech. Unless you're referring to the free speech that my jurisdiction gives you after you decided to escape from India. Making fun or belittling a young lady's mental health is not free speech. Logic? Try starting with being able to comprehend before you even more onto logic. If I'm illogical, you and your band of misfits lack basic comprehension.
@Roz Sa There's something called freedom of speech and expression. Not too sure if you've heard of that. And bigotry isn't an exception to that. Even if it is offensive (I don't even know if it was bigotry to begin with). You speak highly of values such as equality and in the same breath say someone has no right to speak on a matter. I'm not too sure logic is your strong point either. I'll leave this here.
@Rahul Dev well it's because they're true. Bigoted words on the mental health of a young lady who is suffering at the hands of the media. Bigoted words uttered by Indians - in a country with little or no respect for the equality of women amongst many other inequalities. So that's why you don't belong in this discussion.
